9260 Used as a silicon-manganese spring steel, the strength, elasticity and hardenability are slightly higher than that of 55Si2Mn. 60Si2Mn spring steel is suitable for the production of flat springs with large load or coil springs with a wire diameter of less than 30mm in railway vehicles and automobile tractors. It is also suitable for making heat-resistant springs in non-corrosive media with working temperature below 250 °C. Alternating load and large-scale important coil springs working under high stress, as well as automotive shock absorption systems.
